EYG launches ‘FOCUS ON FEEDBACK’ to beat the credit crunch
Hull-based EYG Group is launching a new initiative designed to help its network of suppliers combat the current difficult trading conditions.
The award winning glazing, home improvement and conservatory specialists are inviting their suppliers to join their FOCUS ON FEEDBACK programme for 2009, a programme intended to improve the quality and frequency of information exchanged between the Group and its suppliers.
Joint managing director Nick Ward said: “Just about every company that is involved in the UK manufacturing sector and, as a consequence, the many thousands of smaller firms that supply that sector, will by now have realised that the slump caused by the credit crunch is here to stay for a year or two at least. Without doubt, only the well managed, lean and forward-thinking companies will come out unscathed.
“The EYG Group is definitely bucking the trend. We have had to take some tough action to remain fighting fit, including a few redundancies at the end of last year, but our performance ratings and sales figures are standing up very well.
“The trick is not to become complacent. To make sure we continue to manufacture and install the best possible solutions for our clients, especially those in the commercial sector, we are asking for greater feedback from all our suppliers to see if there are any areas where we can make improvements to our products, services and delivery.”
As part of the company’s push for greater market share in 2009, EYG has introduced a number of new products, including the TB61 …… new curtain walling (further info required) and opened a new showroom and sales centre near Lincoln.
Nick said: “FOCUS ON FEEDBACK is certainly not just a lip service exercise. This is a serious attempt to sharpen up the communication lines between ourselves and our xxx (approx number) suppliers, many of which are based within the Hull area, to help beat the credit crunch and keep prosperity and jobs in our home city.”
