EYG APPOINTS NEW COMMERCIAL MANAGER
The EYG Group has added to its business development team with the appointment of Steve Swallow as Commercial Manager.
Steve is based at the company’s headquarters in Wiltshire Road, Hull, but will spend much of his time negotiating with contractors, visiting development sites and meeting clients.
Educated at Sidney Smith High School and Hull College, Steve has spent the past 12 years working locally in the construction industry as a quantity surveyor and in IT management. He said: “EYG is one of Hull’s best known and most successful businesses and I’m looking forward to getting to grips with my new role.
“Any business operating within the construction sector will know how important it is to manage contracts and client relationships effectively and I will be building on the excellent reputation EYG has in this respect as well as introducing some new systems to help drive the business forward.
“I’m fortunate in that I’ve joined EYG at the same time as the company has won a string of major contracts so there is a real buzz about the place.”
EYG’s joint managing director, Nick Ward, said: “Our commercial division has had some big successes in recent weeks and months and we need people like Steve on board to make sure our systems and contract management continue to be first class. No company in the construction business can afford not to have these important behind-the-scenes disciplines”.
