EYG GROUP WORKING FOR A HEALTHIER HULL
Leading Hull and East Yorkshire glazing specialists, The EYG Group, has been appointed to work with Hull construction company Sewell Group in helping to bring better health services to the city.
The Wiltshire Road business’ commercial arm is to supply and fit aluminium windows, curtain walling, doors and ventilation louvres at the Bransholme Health Centre, Goodhart Road, east Hull, in a contract worth £360,000.
The Bransholme Health Centre is the fifth development on which EYG Commercial has combined with Sewell Group under the NHS Life Schemes project. Others are situated at Orchard Park, Kingswood, Bilton and the Wilberforce Health Centre close to Hull city centre.
Work at the Goodhart Road site is due to start in November and is due to be completed by the spring of 2012.
Nick Ward, joint managing director of The EYG Group, said he was delighted to be working on such an important community project. He said: “Working alongside another well renowned Hull company to bring better health care to the city is a real source of pride for us. These centres really do have the potential to change a lot of people’s lives for the better.”
EYG Commercial landed the work after sourcing innovative louvres for the project which ensure the building is ventilated with fresh air despite having non-opening windows.
Nick added: “Although we’ve worked with Sewell on a number of health centre projects we are never complacent and we always put 100% into all the work we do. As far as EYG was concerned, the Bransholme project rested on making sure we could find the right ventilation solution.”
Sean Henderson, project manager for Sewell Group Plc, said: “EYG has an excellent track record of working with us on projects similar to this and we are pleased to be working with them again.
“The ventilation system they have introduced is integral to the scheme and will help to ensure the health centre provides the best environment possible for its users.”
