Why Choose Aluminium?
Aluminium is a metal that is generally regarded as one of the
most sustainable building materials due to the availability of raw
material and its ability to be recycled over and over again. Many
building designers are turning to aluminium in order to meet
the growing desire for sustainable design whilst answering every
architectural need from aesthesis and thermal performance, to
weather tightness and security.
Aluminium is a long lasting material with a high strength-
to-weight ratio that is easily formed into many shapes and
configurations, remaining the most common commercial framing
material.
Why Choose UPVC?
UPVC is the most widely used residential window framing
material, holding over 80% of the residential window market
in the UK. PVC is poly vinyl chloride, and with a ‘U’ in front, it
is unplasticised, so that it is rigid for strong window frames.
When necessary, it can be reinforced with metal for hardware
attachments. UPVC is an affordable and extremely thermally
efficient material that can provide a building with greater heat
insulation than aluminium or wooden windows. UPVC windows
and doors are virtually maintenance free, easy to clean, hard
wearing and durable, and as UPVC is non-corrosive it will neither
rot nor rust. Durable UPVC can be recycled as often as 10 times.
