Portobello House
Robertson Construction contacted EYG Commercial to complete the commercial glazing package of works on the £6m Portobello House student accommodation complex in Sheffield.
The building was finished to a very high specification and, given its position in the city centre, it required special acoustic glazing to counter the noise.
In total, the EYG Commercial team manufactured, supplied and installed 184 ALUK commercial aluminium windows, five Technal curtain walling screens and seven single-double doors for the development a contract valued at £228,000.
The scheme comprises a combination of studios, super studios’ and self-contained two-bedroom apartments, with 128 beds over seven storeys, helping to serve Sheffield’s 55,000-strong student population.
