EYG Commercial were delighted to be selected to work on this prestigious development in our home city of Hull – one of the biggest and most significant in recent years
The design and build of this £200m facility was led by global environmental engineering specialist M+W Group, working with Hull-based specialist engineering business Spencer Group.
EYG Commercial were selected to design, manufacture and install:
Commercial director Steve Swallow said: "Some contracts come along every now and again that as a business, you just want to be involved with because of their significance and prestige. That was the case with Energy Works, as it is the first facility of its kind in the UK.
"Using a mix of recycling and energy conversion processes, the site will turn household waste from across the country into electricity to power 43,000 homes - over one third of all homes in Hull.
"We were contracted by Ashford Cladding Systems to supply and install curtain walling screens, windows, doors and rooflights. The finished product is a striking building with angled curtain walling which helps create an impressive look to house the administration offices.
"It was really pleasing that EYG Commercial were chosen as the glazing specialists on such an iconic development."
