Two of the region’s biggest family-run firms come together on local developments

15th May 2022

Two of the region’s leading family-owned businesses - EYG and Beal Homes - are working together on five major housing developments across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

In what is great news for the local economy, Beal has awarded glazing contracts for the developments to EYG, joining forces in a positive move for local jobs and for keeping business within the region.

Both family-owned firms were founded in East Yorkshire and EYG’s Managing Director Nick Ward said the Beal contract is a vote of confidence from the award-winning housebuilder in the skills of EYG’s local workforce.

EYG Commercial – the commercial glazing division of EYG Group, which also includes EYG Domestic – has been contracted to supply and fit windows and doors on four Beal developments in East Yorkshire and a fifth in Lincolnshire.

EYG’s UPVC windows, composite and casement doors, and aluminium bifold doors were chosen by the client.

EYG began work on the first site, Pilgrims Walk in Hessle, last year and the first residents have now moved in and are enjoying their new luxury homes.

The development is now nearing completion, and includes a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes and three-bedroom bungalows.

EYG is contracted to install windows and doors on 80 homes on the Hessle development.

In addition, EYG is installing windows and doors at the West Hill II development in Kirk Ella; The Greenways, in Goole; St Mary’s View in Beverley, and Bishop’s Green, in Welton, Lincolnshire.

Mr Ward said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for EYG to be involved in creating homes of exceptional quality with the region’s leading independent housebuilder.

“Both EYG and Beal were both founded locally over 50 years ago and remain family businesses, despite growing and evolving over the decades.

“To work with another local business to deliver high-quality homes in our region is very special and we are delighted to have been appointed as Beal’s glazing partner.

“We have a successful history of working on large construction projects, and this is an outstanding series of residential developments to add to our portfolio. As with all Beal developments, these homes are highly sought-after, and benefit from quality workmanship from a highly-skilled local workforce, including our teams.”

Beal Chief Executive Richard Beal said: “As a business founded and based locally and delivering high-quality homes across the region, we’re committed to using local suppliers and contractors whenever possible.

“The appointment of EYG to work on these developments will contribute to the delivery of our mission to offer Beal buyers exceptional quality of design, materials and service.”

Focused on building homes in Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, Beal has delivered more than 75 developments and is committed to the region for the long term.

The business is driven by a passion for quality and customer service. Every Beal customer is guaranteed a unique and personal buying experience, reflecting the company’s inspiring vision “to create exceptional homes as individual as our customers.
