EYG Commercial praised for glazing on contemporary housing development with homes boasting stunning corner windows and curtain walling

EYG Commercial is delighted to have played its part in another high-quality and contemporary East Yorkshire housing development.

Our teams have worked on The Pastures development in Holme-On-Spalding-Moor over the past 18 months, returning to site to install glazing as more stylish new homes have been added to the plot by developers Ward Homes Yorkshire.

Now close to completion, the site offers 27 properties which have been finished to the highest standard, built with modern living in mind. The entire site has been sold.

Dave Walker, EYG’s Trade Consultant was thrilled that EYG were selected for the glazing contract on the 1,400 sq m building following a tendering process which sought respected local businesses with established reputations, which were able to be cost-effective on price.

EYG Commercial manufactured and installed UPVC windows, aluminium bi-folding doors, composite doors and even curtain walling screens on two properties which are located in focal positions of the development, as part of a £211,000 contract.

”This has been a really good project to be involved in as it is another high-quality, bespoke residential development which is really adding something extra to the local housing market,” said EYG’s project manager Rich McNeil.

”We were delighted to be chosen for this contract as we had previously worked on a smaller bespoke development for Ward Homes Yorkshire and from that we knew how dedicated they are to delivering the highest-quality.

”The site is really impressive as it is a mix of apartments, semi-detached and large detached properties which give it a very unique feel, and again importantly that feel of quality is apparent across the site.

“From a glazing point of view the bi-fold doors and bedrooms with balconies and sliding doors really add that something extra.

“It was also nice to have a couple of properties with two-storey feature corner windows and full height curtain walled glazing on the front.

“This looks really impressive both externally when driving around the site, and of course inside the properties themselves as they let on so much light. It is certainly not common on residential developments but is a really impressive addition to this site.

“As a housebuilder they have been excellent to work with. Like any job in current times there have been a couple of complications, but the focus from all has been on delivering the highest quality development and we believe we have played our part in delivering just that.“
