EYG Commercial secures Gold Membership status from Constructionline

28th October 2019

Major developers and construction contractors now have further assurance over the quality and reliability of EYG Commercial’s management, products and services as the firm has been awarded Gold Member Accreditation by Constructionline.

An assessment body initially established by the Government, Constructionline is the UK construction industry’s leading procurement and supply chain management service.

It operates to help cut out red tape by managing a database of assessed and verified suppliers, meaning contractors can see which businesses have already passed recognised and accepted industry checks, ultimately saving time and money and speeding up building projects across the UK.

Supplying windows, doors and curtain walling for major developments across the UK and on projects up to £6m in value, EYG Commercial has already established a reputation for quality and reliability which has secured many repeat orders.

The firm has also long invested in securing vital accreditations.

These cover health and safety (including the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and The Safe Contractor scheme) and the quality of its products (including the Government-authorised FENSA scheme monitoring building regulation compliance for replacement windows and doors and the Home Office approved Secured By Design standard).

Gold Member status can help firm attract more major windows contracts

Now, Commercial Director Steve Swallow believes the latest accreditation will ensure EYG Commercial continues to win impressive contracts on projects ranging from new hotels and residential developments to schools and health facilities.

“Accreditations are paramount across the construction sector and at EYG Commercial we have always been committed to ensuring that we are able to demonstrate the quality of all areas of our work, and our continued improvement, through industry recognised independent, third party assessments,” he said.

“We have established a reputation for quality across our business, and this is further verification of that.

“This Gold Membership recognises that we are aligned with all current industry and Government standards. It has been an important step for us as it puts us ahead of many of our competitors when we are looking to secure major glazing contracts in a highly competitive environment.

“To achieve this standard we have had to pass a number of further validation checks which it is known are of interest buyers, checks which go beyond the standardised pre-qualification PAS 91 level.

“This tells potential customers that our environmental management, quality management, financial and operational processes, health and safety procedures, training and compliance is of the highest quality.”

Mr Swallow says that alongside the firm’s many accreditations, its history and reputation continue to play a vital role when winning new work.

“It will be our 50th year of business trading at EYG in 2020 and we’ve a proven record for delivering major projects on budget and to deadline. People only have to look at the projects we have completed to have faith and confidence in what we do,” he added.

“Customers like that fact that we manufacture, supply and install, and that our expertise enables us to develop bespoke products which perform to the very highest standards levels in terms of energy, efficiency, noise reduction and safety.

“In the current market that history and financial stability is vitally important, and sat alongside our accreditations, we have the qualities to make us stand out in a crowded market.”
