EYG secures contract for glazing high-end Yorkshire care homes

29th March 2023

EYG has been named by construction firm Hobson and Porter as the chosen glazing partner for a prestigious new high-end care home.

Hobson and Porter have constructed several care homes for the Yorkare group – an award-winning care home provider in East Yorkshire.

EYG Commercial has installed the full glazing packages for their homes in Louth, Cottingham, Sleaford, and installed doors on their Hornsea home.

Now, Hobson and Porter have confirmed EYG Commercial has won the contract for glazing their newest site – in Haxby, North Yorkshire.

The contract is valued at £160,000 and involves the manufacture and installation of aluminium windows and doors, and curtain walling.

EYG’s Commercial Head of Installations Richard McNeil said: “We have worked with Hobson and Porter for 50 years, and we are thrilled that they have turned to us yet again for their latest project with Yorkare, who are a provider of very high-quality care homes in Yorkshire.

“This contract represents the fifth care home we have glazed for Yorkare and it has been a privilege to work on such prestigious developments, and for our name to be associated with these two East Yorkshire businesses.

“The glazing package has been designed to meet the client’s needs, with a mix of UPVC windows and doors, and aluminium doors and curtain walling systems being chosen.

“This is another outstanding care home which we are delighted to be involved with constructing, along with our esteemed clients Hobson and Porter, who we continue to work alongside on a portfolio of projects which are making a real impact on the urban landscape in Yorkshire.”

Hobson and Porter’s Business Development Director Joe Booth said: “Hobson and Porter prides itself on strong and sustainable supply chain relationships, and our relationship with EYG goes back several years.

“Working with Yorkare is a great privilege for us as they are providers of exceptional care across Yorkshire, and we are playing our part in a project which directly benefits the local community.

“In addition, in partnering with EYG and Yorkare, we are demonstrating how three East Yorkshire businesses can work together to make a big impact on the socio-economic development of the area.”
