£95,000 contract for refurbished leisure centre and Lido

This summer, EYG Commercial took part in the £11m refurbishment of an iconic Hull landmark.

The Albert Avenue swimming baths in west Hull had stood unused for over two decades – until Hull City Council announced a full programme of refurbishment works, hiring award-winning Hull building contractors Hobson and Porter as their partner.

The works were completed this summer, and saw the outdoor Lido brought back to life, with the indoor swimming area also re-vamped to include new and improved changing facilities, gym and fitness suite, and new spectator and reception areas.

As long-standing glazing partners of Hobson and Porter, EYG Commercial was asked to manufacture and install aluminium curtain walling and aluminium doors at the site, in a contract valued at £95,000.

We installed Seniors SF52 curtain walling and Seniors SPW501 commercial doors.

We glazed a newbuild gym on the rear of the development, and the refurbished areas to the Lido and main pool areas, including the changing areas and entrances.
