New contracts secured as flagship ‘Monocle’ glazing installation set to complete

EYG Commercial is building upon the momentum of an impressive year of sales in 2024 having secured a string of new contracts in the region to begin 2025 in the same vein.

The business, part of the EYG Group which was established in 1971 and has a £22m turnover, will next month complete its work transforming the look of the former six-storey Europa House building in Hull city centre - which has been rebranded as the ‘Monocle’ – to provide modern office spaces.

The complex is being brought back into use to an extensive redevelopment and investment led by another Hull business, Allenby Commercial, which chose EYG Commercial to complete the full re-glazing of the landmark 1970s building.

It comes as the installation teams are also preparing to install hundreds of windows and doors on new houses as part of the latest development by Beal Homes - ‘Ferriby Meadows’ in North Ferriby - where 115 new luxury homes are being built as part of a £40m project.

Two more large-scale window installations on commercial properties which are being converted into residential complexes are also underway in Hull.

At Wilberforce Court, in High Street, teams are fitting more than 200 timber-look UPVC windows, along with curtain walling screens and door entrances.

As part of a six-figure contract, a commitment has been made to achieving zero waste, with all the old timber windows which are removed being recycled.

The entire installation of new windows – over four floors - is also being completed without the need to use scaffolding, as EYG’s installation teams are using harnesses when fitting windows from the inside, reducing overall cost.

In George Street, our teams are installing 130 white UPVC windows at Criterion House, which is also being converted into 41 apartments.

The contract with Beal Homes marks the 9^th housing development EYG Commercial has worked on for the business, where we will install hundreds of windows and doors, including agate grey and cream UPVC windows and bi-folding doors which open onto gardens.
